1) Tell what you liked or did not like so far about the book. I like how we have met the characters
2) Ask a question or make a prediction. I think Connor will get captured
3) Provide a quote from the book, and explain why you choose it. “I'd rather be partly great than entirely useless.” because it says a lot about the character that wants to be more then he/she is
1) So far the book has been really good. I really like how things tie together to make the story more interesting. I also like the different perspectives because it shows the different characters different reactions to the situations. 2) Why did Cy-Fi run away? Was it because of his brain transplant and the issues that came from it? 3) "I remember thinking, if a baby was going to be so unloved, why would God want it brought into the world?"-Connor It tells us how Connor feels about everything that's happening in their world. It also reflects on all three of the runaways situations. It suggests Connor could be against what is currently going on.
1. I like the whole situation with Cy. I think it brings a whole new aspect to the book. The fact that he has another personality that he can sort of communicate with is intriguing. Cy's story is very interesting and I can't wait to hear more about it. 2. Will Risa and Connor ever meet up with Lev again? I think it would be a good story to have them reunite. I want to know how each of them will act and what they will say. 3. "Ain't no one gonna tell you what's in your heart," he tells Lev. "You gotta find that out for yourself." This is the first thing Cy says in the book. I like the quote because it relates to the fact that Lev has been practically brainwashed into thinking he needs to be unwind because that it what his religion wants. Cy is saying he needs to choose for himself.
what I liked so far about the book is how we get a different perspective in each chapter, so we get to know who the different characters think and how they feel towards the other characters. my question would be would if all the characters will end up staying together or will some of them stay or will they all go there different ways? My quote form the book is on page 117 and it is Risa thinking " And although she has an urge to push him away, she finds herself leaning into him until she can feel his heartbeat in her ears" I choose this because it show the relationship between the two characters and even though they don't really like each other they find a comfort in each other because they don't really have anyone else and to them it's better to be together than be alone
I like how each chapter in the book is from a different characters point of view. This helps to understand the conflicts better and how each of the characters are dealing with the conflicts. It also provides a better understanding of the characters and their personalities. For the next section of the book I predict that Risa and Connor will eventually meet up with Lev in one of the safe homes. In this section Connor states "I'd rather die than get a piece of an Unwind!" while in the crate on a plane with the three other unwinds . This shows that Connor doesn't want anything to do with unwinds and how he's angry with the whole situation.
1) Tell what you liked or did not like so far about the book. - I like how each chapter is a different characters point of view and like how the author introduces different characters. Sometimes the chapters are not always about the main characters. One chapter was about a police officer, and one of the main characters friends. I think having these chapters describe the characters builds up characteristics and can introduce new qualities.
2) Ask a question or make a prediction. - Will Risa and Conner secretly escape out of the safe house? Or will Lev find them?
3) Provide a quote from the book, and explain why you choose it. - " I'd rather die, than have a piece of an Unwind!" - Connor. This means that he would risk his life to help others in need. He is not selfish thats for sure.
So far one of my favourite parts of the book is how it shows all of the different perspectives of all the different people. It really helps me to understand the book better. I also really liked the point where Hannah the teacher helped Connor and Risa to escape from the school because I think it helped to show Connor how people can still be nice even in a world where people unwind their children. One thing that I am wondering is what will happen to Connor and Risa when they are done with their time in the ice cream truck. Another thing that I am wondering is if Lev and Cy can make it to their final destination without Cy having another worse psychotic break. one of my favourite quotes from the book so far is: "There's an antique shop on Fleming Street," she tells them. "Ask for Sonia. She can help you." - Hannah (the teacher that helped them) this is one of my favourite quotes because it goes along with what I said above about how Hannah is a really good person and and how that there are some good people left in the world.
I like the part in the book where they went to the graveyard because its a new start for Risa and Connor and they found what they are good. a question I have is will Lev show up at the graveyard and will Risa and Connor be interested in seeing him? the quote is choose is on page 171 and Diego says "Depends on where your soul is once your unwound" which is saying they themselves dont know what happen and they are curious to know what will happen if they ever do get unwound.
I like how in the book everything gets going really fast. It helps keep me interested and engaged in the book, more than books that take multiple chapters to get going. I also really like how throughout the chapters you are introduced to new characters which also helps me stay interested in the book. A question I have is where will all the unwinds go from the graveyard? or will they stay there until their 18, and will they all survive until 18? The quote I chose from this section was from Risa "Survival has earned me the right to be respected,'" This shows how things work in the graveyard, the more valuable you are the more privileges and opportunities you get.
In this section I really liked that they included the conversation in the box. It shows more of the character's personalities and we got to meet some new people. I also like that Hayden is back with them, he seems like he could be a good friend to Connor, and he seems to know how to lighten up situations. I think that Connor and Roland are going to get into a fight, it seems inevitable at this point. Maybe they will get put in the same working group and that leads to a fight. It definitely seems like we are not done with that character yet. "If every part of you is alive but inside someone else . . . are you alive or are you dead?" I liked this quote because it is the question the whole story revolves around. It makes the characters think and eventually resolves in a fight between Connor and Emby about unwinding.
So far I have liked how lev has been all over the place. He added some more interesting parts to the book when Lev and Risa were not being very exiting. I think that Risa and Connor are going to form an alliance again to try and get rid of Roland "Would you rather die or be unwound?" I think that this is an interesting quote because it is an underlying question that not only the readers but also the characters, have throughout the whole book and Hayden is the first one to really say anything about it. I think that in the end of the book, this question will be solved.
